Looking to drop weight but are unsure of how to get rid of that annoying belly fat? Here are five tips to make that belly fat a distant memory!
Cut Carbs and Sugars. There is a major reason why the low carb diet has been such a popular one. It is a diet that works because it eliminates carbs, starches and sugars which are perpetually responsible for packing on excess weight. By reducing these useless items from one’s diet the ability to drop weight increases tenfold. Now, this is not meant as a way to provide a blanket endorsement of the low carb diet plan. That is not a healthy or balanced diet, but the basic concept of what it eliminates makes it a diet well worth examining.
Eliminate Your Intake of Saturated Fat. Saturated fat is a type of fat that is LOADED with calories. So, when you ingest food that is high in saturated fat you are absorbing a ton of calories that will be tough to burn off. This is why it is critical to stay out of fast food restaurants and other locations that are notorious for selling food that is loaded with useless and unnecessary saturated fat. As such, stick with lean meats and green vegetables and stay away form gross saturated fat!
Walk More. The lifestyles that we live today are getting more and more sedentary. This is not a good thing because the more we sit around the fewer calories we burn. So, it goes without saying we need to be a little more active so as to burn up some of those calories. Now, this does not mean that one needs to run or jog or take part in a vigorous program (although these methods of exercise will melt fat away!), but walking around 20 or so minutes a day will aid in dropping some weight. No, it will not be radical in terms of how much it burns off but it will start shedding weight in small increments over time.
Drink Lots of Water. Water intake is often overlooked despite the fact that it is a very important part of a weight loss program. Water aids in regulating fluid retention and helps keep the metabolism boosted. A fast metabolism is great for burning calories so why not boost it?
Perform Some Strength Training. Cardio simply is not enough to burn up calories. You need to lift weights at least three days a week as increased muscle mass will lead to the better burning of calories as muscle mass also increases metabolism. It also has a host of other benefits that will lead to a much healthier life and this is a great thing.
